Hi, We are a Redlands Community Garden!
Oaklands Street Community Gardens Inc (OSCG) is a not-for-profit incorporated group situated at Oaklands Street, Alexandra Hills Queensland. The garden was established in 2005 and operates under the licence of the Redlands City Council. It covers an extensive area tended by volunteers who give their free time and skills to keep the gardens growing.
Our mission is to inspire, share and teach organic and sustainable gardening practices to all who wish to join us at the garden. Our garden is a place to make new friends and enjoy social interaction. We are open to the community Monday, Wednesday, Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
We have raised beds, swales, syntropic tropical fruit tree rows, flower beds, orchards, permaculture food forests and a nursery. The garden is supported by our large compost supply and rainwater tanks.
We do not have gardens to rent. We endeavour to garden communally. Vegetables and fruit grown at the gardens is shared amongst the members. We are accepting new memberships, you can apply online or in person.
